One of our goals is that you could identify what we value by looking at how we spend our time and our church checkbook. As much as we believe that mission statements and values are important to help focus us on our assignment – the proof of our effectiveness would be in the time and resources dedicated to others.

Since our launch in October of 2004 we have endeavored to live open handed. Living open handed means that we have an assignment larger than just the building of our church; it’s an assignment to build strong families, to do missions work (local and international), to develop leaders, and to plant more churches. Living open handed means that we realize that our time here is limited and to be effective we must not wait until the conditions and timing is “perfect” but we should be about our assignment today.

I’m excited to share our progress in these areas, not that by any measure are we satisfied with our start, but more to

celebrate the fact that we have started doing the things that we value.
